News
That was Alone by Gadget Cats that just played, which is their first dropped single on almost all the places you can find new music! They are a local band who are definitely making their mark on the local colorado scene. I just went to see their show in Fort Collins at the Vintage Collective a couple days ago and I was blown away with the amazing vibes and overall fantastic presence they have. Great stuff, definitely show them some love and check here to stay up to date on what they are doing!
Also here’s a link to their new song: Alone
Okay so like news this week is kinda wild, not like in a whoa thats crazy way but, well actually kinda in a whoa that’s crazy kinda way. Here it is!
From USA Today: Over 50M pounds of Jimmy Dean, State Fair items recalled for possible wood contamination
In this short read, we learn from Melina Khan of USA Today about Jimmy Dean; yeah the sausage guys, and how they got wood in them. So essentially a number of corn dogs and some sausage products have been recalled due to pieces of wood being found in them. Call that morning wood… Anyways, a lot of the affected foods were used as state fair items. There were 5 injuries reported from the recalls. The wood is hidden in the batter, so like extra crunchy corn dogs. If you or a loved one has eaten some of this jimmy dean morning wood, then please go see a doctor. Okay I’m done, thank you for listening.
From BBC: MrBeast defends trapping man in burning building for $500,000
In hotter news, we see some backlash for Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson on his latest of endangering human lives. In all seriousness I am just making a funny, however, the backlash comes from a video posted where a stuntman is paid to survive through some crazy stunts. One of these stunts being escaping a burning building. Most MrBeast videos are people doing the most insane or obscure shit for money. The more videos that come out, the more it feels like rich people fight club vibes. Like I get it, the contestants get money, he does a ton of charity stuff, but like bros vibes are kinda pure evil supervillain. That’s all I got here, read the article and such if you wanna learn more!
From The San Francisco Standard: Sperm-racing investors blow $10 million on ‘seed round’ for sports venture
Well to round out this episode of vaguely lewd news here’s something excessively crude. So more on billionaires doing shit to just do shit; this article highlights a new startup ran by Eric Zhu, Sperm Racing. So yeah essentially it’s exactly what you think it is. So yeah guys being dudes and then making entertainment out of it. Then guys being dudes and betting on it. Just late stage capitalism happenings. Oh also they get nickelodeon slimed but with white “slime” for losing.
That is all I have for the news for today. If there are any weird articles or cool things you want to share with me, don’t hesitate to email staff@bottlerag.org.
